I was retired at the end of June 2026. This is the first post retirement amp "R1"
Amp specifics:
* Push Pull KT88 in triode with Tentlabs negative bias supply
* 6V6GT front end driving a SE to PP Interstage Transformer
*450V B+ with a capacitance multiplier/regulator supplying 305V for the 6V6
* All power supply caps using Wima DC Link 600 volt rating
* Global feedback
These are very quiet and sound good. In this layout, the power transformers do not hum couple to the output transformers despite being in the same orientation. If the power supply gets closer to the interstage transformer (on the outside) there is some coupling. Chassis are built from the Lowes aluminum section with all stainless hardware. Top plates came from Cut 2 Size metal and are 1/4 inch. Side screens provide great airflow.
